big 20!

My teenage years are over! I lived two decades! What's next?....gray hair?...oh wait. I already have that.
I celebrated by studying for two finals and working. And it was freezing and snowy outside. Yay. But I did get breakfast in bed:) And went to dinner and country swing dancing with some friends. I got the best friends!
My mom sent a lovely little birthday package with treats and stuff. The day I went home I got a cake, (brownie with peppermint ice cream, oreos, hot fudge, and whipped cream. yum.) On Sunday I had my birthday dinner which was delicious. Oh and more cake of course!
Hooray for birthdays!

Free food anyone?!.....gotta love singles wards. Yes, the pizzas were 3 feet across:)

Holy. Smokes. First semester is pretty much over. How the heck did that happen?!!
Here's my sista from another mista. (aka VP of a certain club we belong to, fellow roommate, co-chef, the-girl-who-is-always-hot-and-turns-down-the-heat-so-i-freeze-to-death, and miss brit the beautiful) I'm so lucky to live with the girls I do. They are so great, despite...well....things I won't mention:) Some things you gotta live with to appreciate.

My ward is super great. Best singles ward I've been in for sure. Being a ward missionary is the best calling, having the opportunity to teach and share the gospel with people.
Apt. GC9 are my favorites. Good times watching movies, going to Lava, watching more movies, games, eating food, etc etc.

Oh and I guess the school part is important too....learning stuff and writing papers. Good thing it's all over for a month though. Not my favorite semester of classes.

'Mens Hearts Shall Fail Them'

"To the individual who is weak in the heart, fearful in the heart. Be patient with yourself. Perfection comes not in this life, but in the next life. Don't demand things that are unreasonable... but demand of yourself improvement. As you let The Lord help you through that he will make the difference. I’m so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that allows me that kind of strength in these tumultuous times."
-Russel M Nelson

Sometimes things are hard. But we are never hopeless. Things will always get better if we keep moving forward, trying our best and relying on Jesus Christ. We are never alone; God is so aware of each one of us. Our lives are about improving ourselves, becoming a little better each day. Things that seem difficult or discouraging now will not last forever, there is so much potential if we just keep going. :)

blogging

That moment when you are walking on the sidewalk and the only person walking towards you happens to be that girl you blog stalk all the time (except she doesn't even know it.) It's just you and her, so you awkwardly look away and down at the sidewalk (of course pretending you are watching your steps so you don't fall) until you get close enough to quickly look at her and smile (and then hurry away fast as you can). Oh, and this same girl just happens to be walking up the hill every time you are walking home from class. Good thing they don't know you are a creeper.

Or when you get on the bus, seeing a face that looks familiar, taking a second glance, and realizing it's girl (who you don't even know her name) who you blog stalk.

Oh the joys of technology. Some call it creepin', it's really just using your resources. And clicking on links to cute looking blogs. :)

Pinterest

yes, I am addicted. I don't know what I did without it.
It's inspiring, motivating, can lower your self esteem, make you fat, and cause you to wonder about some people, all at the same time.
But mostly it's just a time waster, used to dream of things that will never get done, projects that will never get finished, and food that will never get made. But oh well! It's lovely to look at:)
It's full of quotes, pretty pictures, creative ideas, and hilarious things. Literally, a person could be on pinterest all day. Not saying I do....
So thank you pinterest, for leaving the drama of facebook, the stupid statuses, and ridiculous pictures. I'd rather just look at yummy food. :)
