dang, we are funny.

Some things just never get old.
Like 3rd grade humor is still funny in our apartment. haha:)
I wish I had kept a list of all the funny things that have happened this year.
I do have a quote wall though, with some pretty funny stuff! Well, at least funny to me and my roommates...:)
Here are some of the funny/weird/disgusting things that keeps life exciting:
  • We came to the conclusion it was finally time to clean out the fridge after finding a dead fly on the shelf...who KNOWS how long its been there! In the process we also found hair, moldy cheese, and some food that has been there since the beginning of the semester....
  • I live in a giant hairball! We find it EVERYWHERE!! - microwave, floor, toilet seat, sink, and everywhere else imaginable. A lesson learned is to not put food on the counter, because (like Brit learned) the hair might get on your food and end up between your two front teeth. yuck.
  • I talk in my sleep. I guess onetime I even got out of bed and was creepin on Brit in the middle of the night! She talks in her sleep too, so its quite entertaining:)
  • We seem to laugh at pretty much everything. Good thing laughing is good for your health!
  • Sometimes when the fire alarm goes off and its freezing cold and snowy outside, you just gotta make the best of it by bundling up in your marshmallow coat, making a mug of hot chocolate in record time, and then go outside with your half heated mug of cocoa to wait for the firemen to come check the building.
  • Sometimes I forget that we do live in a building full of other people. On multiple occasions I have come out of the shower in a towel to find our apartment door wide open and a bunch of people just lounging in my bedroom! And sometimes we forget to shut our door when changing, or just think we can do it fast before anyone comes in. Usually we are wrong though! Last week this is how it went: "Wouldn't it be funny if someone came frolicking through our apartment right now?" and literally 5 seconds later two boys come waltzing in....I quickly grab some pants shut my door in record time! haha oh well:)

life is great:)

This is what glorious spring break consisted of: driving to st. george, soaking up the warm sun, eating food, going to see sweet waterfalls, hottubbing, going to Krave, going to Zions, eating more food, sleeping, watching Bachelor, going to Krave, hottubing more, ice cream, cooking hamburgers (all by ourselves!), movies, Snow Canyon and lava tubes, and an overall fabulous time with no homework:) Oh how i love spring break.

Missionary time

On February 18th Seth arrived home from Porto, Portugal! We didn't just get to the airport early - we got there so early Mom was freaking out thinking we were in the wrong place because no other little families were there with balloons and signs waiting for their missionaries. Turns out, we were in the right place, most people just didn't arrive an hour early to wait! His flight ended up being an hour late anyways.... :) For the first time in 3 1/2 years, our family is together. Yep, this means we went to church and took up the whole bench:)

Freshman Year: Part 2

Time sure flies.
But I guess thats a good thing....
It just seems dumb that now that I am finally meeting some people I live by the year is already half way over.
It reminds me that I should take advantage of all the opportunities I have...I won't be 19 forever!
In fact, I'll be 21 next year. Old.

School is good. Life is good.
This semester I am taking 15 credits. English 2010, Bio, Psych, Stats, Human Development. Unfortunately there have already been 2 tests. And one next week.
The first few weeks of the semester I also worked in the bookstore. So my life was pretty busy with working two jobs and school. I'm just grateful for having those jobs!

This semester my life has gone like this:
eat
sleep
eat
classes
work
eat
homework
sleep
eat
with lots of movie watching and some occasional working out in between... :)

Life is good.

Top 10 in 2010

2010 was a great year:) Its crazy how every year seems to go by faster. Here are some of the highlights of this year, and also just favorite things. (not in any order...)

  1. I am now attending Utah State University! I can hardly believe I have already completed an entire semester of college. And I'm still alive! It has actually been super great, I have LOVED college and USU! I was super lucky to get good roommates too:) I decided to switch from doing interior design to social work.
  2. Special Needs Mutual. I had the AWESOME opportunity to be a friend at special needs mutual during my senior year of high school. It really was one of the highlights of my whole life! Every week I went to an activity for people with a variety of disabilities, ages 12 and older. I had two special friends there, Abagail and Laurie. Being around these people with such sweet spirits and unconditional love was such a blessing, and inspiring to me.
  3. Graduated from Riverton High School! Woohoo! I made it through high school - and loved it! Riverton will always hold a special little place in my heart :)
  4. Senior Trip! After graduation me and some friends went on a little trip down to the great place called ST.GEORGE!! We stayed in a condo, went to Zions, played, swam, ate, and had a super fantastic time! It was just so fun. I wanna go on a trip with my friends next summer!
  5. Disneyland:) In August me and my family (all but Seth on a mission...) went to Disneyland for a vacation. It was so fun! We went to California Adventure, Disneyland, and the beach. It really is the happiest place on earth! I could ride those rides all day. My favorites were Soarin' Over California, California Screamin', the 3D Toy Story ride, and Space Mountain.
  6. Played the Piano, then quit. I have taken lessons from the same teacher since 7th grade. In August I finally had to quite because I was moving to logan for school. I had my own senior recital, which was a lot of work but I am grateful I am able to learn difficult songs. One of my favorite things about going home is having a real piano to play!
  7. San Fran! For choir tour we rode a bus 14 hours to San Francisco. What a party! Besides the long ride, no sleep, and breaking down, it was great:) We saw all the piers, Alcatraz, went to an amusement park, sang a little and competed (i guess that was the point...), and best of all, WENT AND SAW WICKED!!
  8. Went to girls camp my last year. I love girls camp! I am really hoping I will get to be in young womens some time just so I can go to camp!
  9. Worked at Classic Fun Center during the summer. Woohoo! I never thought I would be working there...but it turned out to be a good summer job! I got to stand outside lifeguarding and even get a little tan...:) By the end of the summer I was a little tired of listening to Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.... I also still work at Magnolia Grove Reception Center, and got a part time job as an office assistant at USU.
  10. We the People Competition- As part of AP Political Science we were in a competition where we did mock congressional hearings about the constitution. Sounds nerdy, but I kinda liked it! I spent who knows how many hours, and thought it was interesting learning so much about government and the constitution. At the state competition my class got 3rd place, not what I was hoping for, but my group got 1st place!

Roommate Chrismas Pics

It's Christmas time! And we are all ready with our sweaters and all:) Yep, me and El and Kaitlin made our own Christmas sweaters. How crafty of us. :) And we even got boys briefs that say "ho ho ho" all over. I think I might convert to boy undies. These pictures are all the Davis 304 girls - Robyntino, Ney, me, Barbie, Tasha, and El-bell.

and i thought that was common sense...

  1. Dishes are supposed to be washed after use. Like, not 5 days after use.
  2. No matter how hot your boyfriend is or the steamy date you had last night, the other 50 people on the bus don't care in the least bit. Yes, it does make for good gossip material, but unless you want everyone and their dog aware of your dramatic life, you might just want to hang up or use a 10 inch whisper.
  3. Just because you don't go to sleep until 7 or 8 am doesn't mean we should accommodate your sleeping schedule by not listening to music in our apartment before 2 in the afternoon.
  4. After the age of 2 years old, its not cute to pick your nose.
  5. Classes shouldn't start at 7:30. And even though they do, you shouldn't take a 7:30 class.
  6. Eating an entire carton of ice cream in one day isn't good for your health. But its ok if you spread it out over maybe 3 days...
  7. Watching Spongebob isn't bad for your health. It may lower your IQ by a point or two, but don't worry, it doesn't affect when you will die.
  8. Mustaches aren't attractive. Unless you are the .03% of the population who can look past physical characteristics to the true character of a person. But even then...
  9. A healthy, balanced diet should consist of ice cream, cookie dough, smoothies, cereal, and of course some toast, mashed potatoes, and cheese-itz.
  10. They don't kick you out of USU just because you aren't a true aggie...
  11. Don't go grocery shopping when you are starving!
  12. Yes, Walmart does have "always low prices", even if you have to stand in line for an eternity.
  13. The other 200 people in the class really don't care what you have to say about every single comment the professor makes. Your life story should probably be saved and shared with people actually care and in a setting that it actually applies to.
  14. If you are paying for your education, you should probably go to classes. There's no point in flushing your education down the toilet by sleeping all day.
  15. Although it may not be obvious to the professor, all 107people sitting behind you can watch your facebook stalk people and shop online at victoria's secret during class
